We have some good environmental laws in this country. But they're often not enforced because they're complex, and the people affected simply don't know where to begin. I help groups and individuals master the legal complexity so our environmental laws work.
Cases have included:
* Helping Central Oregon LandWatch stop urban sprawl
* Helping a water district keep mining pollution out of their groundwater supply
* Helping a coalition of neighbors, environmental groups and fishermen challenge an LNG terminal in Coos Bay.

I am now employed with 1000 Friends of Oregon as Staff Attorney and Central Oregon Advocate. I will still take a small number of private land use or environmental cases. However, due to obvious time constraints, and potential conflicts, these will be quite limited. |
